MGRS Squad
End User License Agreement
Last updated: 28 August 2026
Agreement
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is between you and the publisher of MGRS Squad (package com.ghostmap.tactical). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, uninstall the app and do not use it. The separate Privacy Policy (linked from the app and published at https://www.medinelaime.lt/mgrssquad/) explains how data is handled. The app does not embed the full Privacy Policy or EULA text on-device.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use MGRS Squad on devices you own or control, for your own operational or personal mapping. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law. All rights not granted stay with the publisher.
What the app is — and is not
MGRS Squad is a tactical mapping aid. It is not an official military, government, or emergency-services product. It is not a certified navigation, surveying, or search-and-rescue system. Map tiles, GPS, compass heading, MGRS conversion, azimuth/distance points, distance rulers, trails, and shared markers can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the app, including decisions in the field, what you mark or share, and whether you have permission to map a place. Do not rely on the app as your only navigation source. Cross-check critical positions with other means. Comply with local law, land access rules, and any applicable operational regulations.
SOS and messaging
SOS / SALUTE SMS is an optional helper that opens your device messaging app with coordinates and map links to a number you choose. It does not contact emergency services (such as 112) for you, does not guarantee delivery, and is not a substitute for calling the proper emergency number.
Online team sessions
If you use online team mode, teammates in the same group can see live position, shared markers, activity, and team chat messages you send. Only join groups with people you trust with that information. You are responsible for the group code you share and for content you place on the map or send in chat.
Advertising
The app may display Google AdMob advertising: a small banner in offline tactical mode, and optional rewarded video ads that unlock limited online team access after (or instead of) a short free trial. Ad load failures, consent choices, and personalization are described in the Privacy Policy. Offline map tools remain usable without watching rewarded ads.
Your content
Markers, drawings, perimeters, SALUTE reports, trails, distance rulers, backups, KML exports, and team chat messages you send remain yours. Trails stay on this device. You grant us a limited right to store and sync session content (such as live position, shared markers, drawings, and short chat messages) as needed to operate online team features. You must have the right to use any data you add.
Maps and third-party services
Basemap imagery is provided by Google Maps / Google Play services and requires a network connection. Online features may use Google Firebase and our location WebSocket. Ads use Google AdMob. Those services are subject to Google’s and our Privacy Policy terms. The app does not provide an offline map-tile server. Other device features (SMS, contacts picker) are provided by the operating system under its own terms.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” including while marked BETA. We do not warrant that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that it is fit for a particular mission. To the maximum extent permitted by law, implied warranties are disclaimed.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not liable for lost data, missed messages, incorrect coordinates, navigation errors, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the app. Nothing in this EULA limits liability that cannot be limited under Lithuanian or EU consumer law.
Updates and termination
We may update the app or this EULA. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or end the license if you misuse the app. You may stop using it at any time by uninstalling it. The current EULA is always the version published at https://www.medinelaime.lt/mgrssquad/eula.html.
Children
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission, especially online team location sharing.
Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without affecting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live in the EU/EEA. Disputes should first be raised with the publisher; remaining disputes are subject to the competent courts of Lithuania unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
